If you are experiencing a water emergency, need to report a main break, water leaks or sewer overflows, please contact Water Operations 24/7/365 at 972-205-3210 or use eAssist.

If a water pipe breaks within your property lines, please call a plumber.

How to Turn Off Your Water at the Meter

Unable to open your meter box lid? Visit the Utility Customer Services Department at the Charles E. Duckworth building, located at 217 N. Fifth St. to request a complimentary meter box key. Please note, only one key per customer account and only the account holder can request the key.

The Water Utilities Department consists of four divisions; Drinking (potable) Water, Wastewater, Pretreatment and Laboratory Services.  All department employees are committed to delivering a safe and abundant supply of potable water sufficient to meet the needs of each of our customers at the lowest practical costs.  Our utility also has the parallel mission of transporting customer wastewater to treatment facilities at the lowest practical costs. To that end, we remain vigilant in meeting the challenges of source water protection, water conservation, and community education.
